To celebrate the humble beginnings of their 125-year history, Bechtel, the American engineering and construction firm, commissioned a custom interactive website to tell the story of how their founder and family lived on a railcar nicknamed WaaTeeKaa.

As the lead copywriter on this R/GA web project, I collaborated with the ECD (writer) to tenderize a content wishlist from the clients — turning gristles of tech jargon and stats into a digestible, friendly tone.

On my first AKQA Nike project, I was able to turn my childhood love of reading the sports pages into inspiration for writing dozens of short stories. For each brief, I received athlete interview transcripts and new product descriptions — and my job was to weave them into compelling narratives to drive app usage.
